The Academic Education Programs sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce of China is designed to nurture high-end business officials and managerial personnel from recipient countries, offering one-year and two-year master programs as well as three-year doctoral programs for those working in the applied fields of government,trade, foreign affairs, agriculture,technology, education, culture and health. These programs are fully conducted in English. Admission requirements include a bachelor’s degree,relevant working experiences,and decent physical conditions,essential for the high-compact curriculum needed for the degrees. The course begins in September 2018, and scholarship winners must register for the English-taught program if such program is available.When only a Chinese-taught program is available, students should take Chinese language training courses for one to two years before moving on to their degree study.

Scholarship Coverage

The scholarship coverage includes tuition, teaching materials, one-offresettlement fee, campus accommodation,medical insurance, round-trip airfare and a stipend. Those interested can apply at the Economic and Commercial Counselor’s Office of the Chinese Embassy in their country, which will accept applications until June 30, 2018.

Eligibility

To be eligible, applicants must be a citizen of a developing country other than China, be healthy both physically and mentally,and under 45 years old. Applicants should have attained a bachelor’s degree or above, with three or more years of working experience. A sufficient English proficiency which meets the academic requirements of the program is required.

Please visit the online application system of Chinese Scholarship Council at http://laihua.csc.edu.cn, and register for an account. Select the program of“Chinese Government Scholarship,” and fill in all the required information.

Original and scanned copy of document 1, 2, 3 should be delivered to the Economic and Commercial Counselor’s Office of the Chinese Embassy in applicants’countries. Reminders

1. All the documents to be submitted should be in Chinese or English. Otherwise, a notarized copy in Chinese or English is required.

2. An original copy of degrees,transcripts, Foreigner Physical Examination Form and language certificates must be presented for on-site verification.

3. Applicants will get back all the hard-copy materials, both original copies and photocopies from the Economic and Commercial Counselor’s Office. If admitted,they must take the documents to China, and submit them to the university during on-site registration in early September.Incomplete material will not be processed, and application not written in person will be disqualified.

Admission Notification

Application documents will be reviewed by the Admission Committee, and prior enrollment will be given to outstanding applicants. Please note that each applicant will be supported by the scholarship for one program only. The universities concerned or the Chinese embassy will send the Admission Letter and Visa Application Form for Study in China (JW201) to the successful scholarship applicants. If a successful applicant fails to register for the programs before the deadline, the entitlement to the scholarship will be canceled. ca
