During the CPC in Dialogue with World Political Parties High-Level Meeting held in Beijing from Nov. 30 to Dec. 3, 2017, leaders from nearly 300 parties and political organizations in more than 120 countries and regions gathered together to share the views of the responsibilities of political parties in building a community of shared future and a better world. As a continuation of and a refocus on the 19th CPC National Congress,the Dialogue was aimed at providing in-depth knowledge of the 19th CPC National Congress, Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, and the concept of building a community of shared future for mankind and a better world, as well as at encouraging and promoting equal communication and cooperation between global parties and pooling their wisdom and experiences to undertake the responsibility of dealing with development difficulties and challenges of the human society, and building a better world. The World Has a Better Understanding of the 19th CPC National Congress and Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Charac-teristics for a New Era through the Dialogue.

According to Reuters reports, in the 19th CPC National Congress held in October 2017, Xi Jinping, the General Secretary of the Communist Party of China(CPC) Central Committee and Chinese President, expounded a confident plan to build a more prosperous nation in a new era. Chinese leadership vows to alleviate poverty completely by 2020,and it would be a marvelous achievement no other nations can achieve. According to the reports of Latin American News Agency, in his keynote speech at the opening ceremony of the Dialogue, Xi, the Secretary General of CPC called on political parties of different nations to boost mutual trust, increase communication and strengthen cooperation to seek, on the basis of a new form of international relations, to build a new form of party-to-party relations, that is to say, seeking common ground while reserving differences, mutually respecting and mutual learning,as well as to build all kinds and levels of international networks of party-to-party communication and cooperation, and pool strengths of all to build a community of shared future for mankind and a better world. According to the report of the Press Trust of India, in his keynote speech at the opening ceremony of the Dialogue, Xi expounded that China would never ask other nations to “copy”Chinese path, and would neither “im-port” foreign models nor “export” China model to other countries. Instead, Xi proposed to seek, on the basis of a new form of international relations, to build a new form of party-to-party relations,that is, seeking common ground while reserving differences, mutually respecting and mutual learning. Reuters also reported that, while CPC was seeking to improve its international profile and play a more confident role in the world,Xi declared at the opening ceremony of the Dialogue that China would never“export” its political system.

According to an article on the official website of Lianhe Zaobao of Singapore, Donna-mae Arrindell-Isaac, Chairman of the United Progressive Party of Antigua and Barbuda remarked that Mr. Song Tao, the Minister of IDCPC, introduced to the representatives of world political parties at the Dialogue the story of how CPC had been seeking to keep up a road of development suitable for China’s national conditions and made remarkable achievements, which gave him much enlightenment and inspiration. Arrindell-Isaac indicated that small nations were often told to learn the models of great powers and developed countries,but these models might not necessarily suit the national conditions of small countries. “Now I feel more confident to say it’s true to stick to our own roads,and we need not make our own countries simply a copy of USA, Canada or Britain”, he insisted.
