The journal of “Progress in Natural Science: Materials International (PROG NAT SCI-MATER)” sponsored and organized by Chinese Materials Research Society (C-MRS), and co-sponsored by International Union of Materials Research Societies(IUMRS) publish its f irst issue in November, 2010.

The journal reports the recent research results in the field of material science and technology, mainly covering the new materials and technologies in some key areas, such as, energy and environmental materials, advanced structural materials,advanced transportation materials, functional and electronic materials, nano-scale and amorphous materials, health and biological materials, materials modeling and simulation, materials characterization and so on. The latest research achievements and innovative papers in basic theoretical studies and applied research on materials science will be carefully selected and promptly reported. Collectively, these articles will provide rich contributions to the global material science and technology community.
