1 Scope of Contributions

The aim and scope of the journal Kouqiang Hemian Waike Zazhi is to promote clinical and research in oral and maxillofacial surgery and related matters including pathology,radiology,anesthesia,head and neck surgery,plastic surgery,etc.The journal publishes original contributions and reviews concerning all aspects of oral and maxillofacial surgery and related disciplines,including:Expert Forum,Original Research Articles,Editorial,Review Articles,Medical Progress,Brief Reports,Case Reports,Stomatological Education,and Conference Proceedings.All manuscripts are subject to editorial review.Studies supported by scientific funds are given priority for publication after review process.

2 Requirements of Manuscripts

2.1 General Requirements

2.2.2 AbstractA structured abstract should be divided into four sections:Objective(aim and questions of this study),Methods(brief introduction of experimental design,method and materials used in this study),Results(main data should be described)and Conclusion(the value of findings and experiences from this study).The abstract should be narrated in the third person and in the past tense.Abbreviation must follow the Chinese and full English names,when it is showed at the first time both in the abstract or text.

The manuscript should meet the following requirements:scientific content,authenticity,practicality and innovation,focused,clear levels,reliable data,with necessary statistical analysis,correct punctuation and word norms,avoid redundant text which is already shown in figures and tables.

2.2.1 Title Title page(page 1)should contain:(1)a concise and descriptive title and a translation of the full title into English of no more than 20 characters,(2)full names of authors with their affiliations,(3)full address,phone and fax numbers,and email address of the corresponding author,(4)Chinese name should be listed as family name first(all capital),and then given name (initial capital).For example:WANG Zuo-lin.

2.2 Writing Requirements

The format of a manuscript should be as follows:Title page(page 1),Abstract and Key words(page 2),Introduction,Materials and methods,Results,Discussion,Acknowledgements(if any),References,Figure legends,and Tables(on separate sheets).Illustrations and tables should be listed in the text in numerical order and should be written both in Chinese and English.

The following files must be included in submissions:Conflict-of-Interest Statement,Statement of Informed Consent,and Statement of Human and Animal Rights.The information in these forms will remain confidential while the paper is being reviewed and will not influence the editorial decision.Please see the Uniform Requirements for Manuscripts at http://www.kqhmwkzz.com.

Manuscript must be submitted as a DOC or DOCX file.Letter of recommendation from employer is required to clarify the authenticity of the study,no duplicate/redundant publication,and conflict of interest.If the study was supported by fund(s),copy of official certificate with name and serial number is required.

2.2.3 Keywords For indexing purposes,a list of 3-8 keywords(in Chinese and English)is required.It is suggested to choose the key words from MeSH.

2.2.4 Main Body In general,four parts are included:Introduction,Materials and Methods,Results,and Discussion.Clinical experiences and case reports generally can be divided into two parts:clinical data and discussion.

（2）弯沉检测。采用5.4m贝克曼梁弯沉仪对实验路基层进行弯沉检测，加载车采用东风BZZ—100，胎压为0.7MPa，检测频率为1处/10m，对基层顶面弯沉进行检测，具体数据见表2。

Introduction:This section should concisely review the aim and rationale for the study.Background information directly pertaining to and necessary for the understanding of the study,should also be included.

Conclusion:Study results should be analyzed and explained.The discussion should focus on the major findings of the study.

Results:This section should succinctly state the results with text,tables or figures.Also,the main data and the values of statistic test are required to be shown.In text,do not repeat the content,which is already described in tables and figures.Only the main findings are needed to be emphasized in this part.Authors should be responsible for the accuracy of the data cited in the article.If necessary,statistical analysis should be carried out with SAS or SPSS software package.

Materials and methods:This section should carefully describe the materials and methods used,including the standards for choosing research objects(patients or animals,including control groups).Name and producer of the materials are also need to be described.If this experiment is not well known or unique,it is necessary to describe techniques in detail to allow repetition by others.Statistical approaches are also required to be described.

2.2.5 References The references may be unlimited in number but must be recently published and read by authors.The majority should be within the past 5 years.These cited original articles and literature should be published formally rather than unpublished material,observations or personal correspondence,but the unpublished literature that has been accepted for publication can be listed as references with"in press"after the journal title.

Arabic numerals classification is used,and levels are generally no more than three.Serial number is followed with one space and then the title,which is not followed by punctuation.

3 Notice

3.1 Level of Titles

Follow the rule of GB 7714-2005,the references should list the full names of the first three authors and then “et al” is used for replacing more authors.For the bibliographic method,the family name is at first,and then given name.The family name is capitalized.The given name is in abbreviation with the first character.At the end of the manuscript,number the references by arabic order,and they should be referred to by numbers in square brackets on the superscript in the text.References must be numbered consecutively in the order they are first mentioned.

The format is as following:

3.2 Unit of Measurement

Writing should be based on the standard of GB 3100-68,GB 3358-82 and the units of measurement by the National Standard of People′s Republic of China.For example:amount of substance in units of mole(mol);liter(L)is used as the denominator represents the volume reference units(mm3,and dL is not allowed);concentration in units of mol/L，mmol/L,μmol/L;pressure in units of kPa(Pa);rotate speed in units of r/min;radioactivity in units of Bq;absorbed dose in units of Gy;times in d(days),h(hours),min(minutes)and s(seconds);units of measurement is using international symbols,with positive body writing,and pay attention to the case of letters;the quantity symbols must be italic letters.No more than one slash used in one combo unit such as mg/kg/d should be changed to mg/(kg·d)or mg·kg-1·d-1.

3.4 Digital Usage

The Arabic numerals should be used.The number is using three sub-section methods.Starting from the decimal point to the left and right,every three digits is one group,and space each group with position of 1/4 Chinese characters,and without section breaks.For instance:2 748 456,3.141 59.Parameters and the deviation range:the numerical range of 3×103to 8×103cannot be written as 3～8×103;percentage ranges from 20%to 30%cannot be written as 20 to 30%;the magnitude of the range of 1.5～3.6 mA cannot be written as 1.5 mA～3.6 mA;deviation range(25±1)℃,(100±2)%cannot be written as 25±1℃,100±2%.Size unit value multiplied by 50 cm×80 cm×100 cm cannot be written as 50×80×100 cm or 50×80×100 cm3.

3.5 Tables and Figures

Use words as far as possible without charts,if it is enough to express clearly.Tables and illustrations(both numbered in Arabic numerals)should be prepared on separate sheets.The tables should be typewritten double-spaced,including column heads,data,and footnotes.Tables should be self-explanatory and should supplement,not duplicate,the text.A concise title should be supplied for each table.Type all footnotes immediately below the table and define abbreviations.

Each illustration must be accompanied by a legend.Figures must be good drawings or original photographs.Color or black/white is acceptable.For photomicrographs,the magnification and stain should be specified.

3.6 Medical Terminology

Medical nomenclatures should be subject to the latest version of medical terminology and related disciplines noun by the National Natural Science Terminology Committee.Avoid abbreviations in the title.The full term should precede the first use of an abbreviation in the text unless it is a standard unit of measurement.The terminology should be written as the full term when it first appears.Drugs should be subject to the latest version of the People's Republic of China Pharmacopoeia.Please use the international generic name of the drug,not the trade name.

4 Processing Procedure

The registration number will be given within one week after manuscripts are received,and the receipt will be sent by email to the corresponding author.Author(s)will be informed whether the manuscript is accepted or needs revision in 3 months.Rejection letter will be sent by editorial office if the manuscript will not be accepted.If,authors want to withdraw or submit the manuscript to other journals during the first 3 months,please contact the editorial office in advance.Please inform the editorial office,any change of the mailing address or telephone number of authors.

Authors will be informed to check the review decision online,and the manuscripts need to be revised according to the suggestions from peer review,the electronic files of revised version should be uploaded to the online manuscript submission and review system(http://www.kqhmwkzz.com)or sent to us by email.All pictures needs to be attached as JPG format,and do not reduce the picture resolution to less than 300 dpi.

Once published,royalties(including CD-ROM and online editions)will be paid.And two copies of current issue and five copies of reprints will be sent to the corresponding authors.Accepted manuscripts will be automatically included in the journal database,which index our journal.If the author(s)do not agree to be included,please make a statement in your submission.Otherwise,articles will be deemed to have consented to be indexed.
